What browser storage is used?

homeguardian-cookie-choice — Local storage. Records whether optional analytics is allowed. Retained until you clear browser data or change your choice.

The quotation-checker answers are kept in temporary page state and are not intentionally written to cookies or permanent browser storage.

Essential technologies

Essential storage supports a service requested by you, records privacy choices and helps provide security. It cannot be switched off through the site, although you can clear it using your browser controls.

Optional analytics

If you consent, QuoteGuardian records strictly limited first-party events: checker starts, stage completion and abandonment, the field label where a journey stops, generated reports, copied or printed action packs, first saved-account activity, paid-report purchases if introduced, referring website hostname, broad device/browser category and technical failure category.

Analytics events do not contain quotation contents, field values, postcode information, names, email addresses, document text, account identifiers, full referring URLs or persistent visitor identifiers. The server rejects event names and properties outside a fixed allowlist.

Advertising and affiliates

No advertising profiling or cross-site tracking is used. Affiliate measurement will require a separate policy and consent review before introduction.
